I decided to set up in business in 2010 after years of project managing home refurbishments for friends and helping them to declutter and organise their lives. This included:

My background:

My background is in freelance television journalism, documentary production, education and training.

But my main interest throughout my career has been in property. I have bought to sell and to let and I have project managed the refurbishments (doing quite a lot of the practical work myself!) I love a challenge and very little fazes me.

I used to be a hoarder so I can empathise with people who hold on to their belongings! It was when I started to move house in the UK and overseas that I became an avid declutterer.

Having been self-employed for most of my working life I know how to keep, file and prepare paperwork for annual tax returns. My work in television required me to source and store mountains of information and contacts in different fields. So I bring practical knowledge and experience to the business.

I have attended training provided by the House Doctor network, which also styles and stages properties for sale. Most of us remember Ann Maurice, the home staging guru who fronted the "House Doctor" series on Channel 5.
